As the 26th annual golf
tournament approaches, I am again asking you to join me in supporting our
friends, the Special Olympians. These young people are special in many
ways, but their love of sports, and the many hours of hard work that goes
into their training continues to amaze me. They don't know the meaning of
"can't," which is why we can't stop our continued support of their
programs.
To help us maximize our fundraising efforts, we
established the Vince Ferragamo Foundation, a non-profit public benefit
corporation, in 1996. Not only does the foundation help us support Special
Olympics, it also allows us to help fund other qualified charities. We
have found that there are many outstanding organizations in the community
that must look to outside sources to keep their doors open.
By participating in the Vince Ferragamo
Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic, not only will you have a great day of golf,
you will be making a real difference in the lives of many "special" kids.

Over the last 25 years, this event has
raised over $1,600,000 to benefit the Special Olympics and other
worthwhile charities. These funds help make it possible to operate
year-round sports training programs and competitions for mentally
handicapped children and adults.The Vince Ferragamo Foundation was
developed to establish additional fundraising events to benefit
Special Olympics and other qualified non-profit
organizations. |
